Connecting the dots - Climate. Capital. Community. Code.
At Darukaa.Earth (www.darukaa.earth), we are a Nature Tech enterprise bringing radical transparency in nature & democratizing climate action through nature-based carbon and biodiversity finance.
We combine:
- Geospatial analytics, remote sensing
- Climate Modelling
- Vision Language Modelling (VLM)
- Bioacoustics monitoring
- Blockchain-enabled environmental finance
We are in a CATEGORY-DEFINING space working at the intersection of Nature, Technology, Finance and last mile impact; proud have investor support from partners like IIT Bombay & IIM Vishakhapatnam.
Our value chains include:
- Nature Finance projects
- Turnkey projects for Biodiversity mapping & Nature conservation.
- SaaS offering for Environmental reporting.
Role Overview
As a Full Stack Developer Intern, you’ll play a key role in scaling and enhancing our nature-tech platform. You’ll develop interactive dashboards, backend APIs, and data-driven features that integrate AI/ML insights, geospatial data, and cloud systems.
Your code won’t live in a demo folder anymore. It will be part of live, productiongrade systems used to track carbon, monitor ecosystems, and support real conservation & restoration projects on the ground.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in product-driven teams, enjoys building with purpose, and wants to use their skills to drive meaningful climate solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Frontend & User Experience
- Build interactive, data-rich dashboards using React & modern JavaScript
- Visualize satellite data, biodiversity layers, carbon maps, and analytics
- Work with map-based interfaces (Mapbox / Leaflet / OpenLayers)
- Learn component-driven UI development and frontend performance optimization
Backend Skills & API Development: Gain strong experience with back-end technologies and frameworks, including Python, and Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Work with real environmental datasets (sensor data, satellite imagery, field data)
- Understand authentication, API security, and data flow in production systems
- Learn how ML outputs are served via backend services
DevOps, Cloud & Security
- Deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions/Jenkins.
- Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (S3, Lambda, EC2, RDS) or GCP.
- Implement data encryption, backup strategies, and security protocols to ensure data integrity.
Geospatial & AI Integration
- Integrate ML models (e.g., carbon sequestration forecasting) with backend APIs.
- Optimize geospatial workflows for large-scale environmental analytics.
Database Management: Start getting Familiar with database management systems (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, version control).
Toolkit Proficiency: Understanding of version control systems, notably Git.
Requirements
