About Us

Connecting the dots - Climate. Capital. Community. Code. We are Darukaa.Earth — a category-defining nature-tech & climate finance company. Incubated at the IIT Bombay campus and backed by IIM Visakhapatnam, we’re building Global South’s first intelligence layer for natural capital — where technology, ecology, and finance converge to create measurable, investable biodiversity impact. Our offerings & platform transforms biodiversity and carbon data into actionable, finance-grade intelligence, enabling TNFD, CSRD, and SBTN-aligned insights for companies, investors, and project developers. We have entered an inflection point — scaling from flagship pilots to enterprise deployments — and we’re hiring a Founder’s Office Associate who can help scale our climate mission into market momentum. Our Value chains include:

  • Environmental reporting
  • Turnkey projects for Biodiversity mapping & Nature conservation.
  • Nature Finance projects

What You'll Do

  • Field Monitoring: Assist with the deployment, retrieval, and basic maintenance of bioacoustic recorders and other environmental monitoring devices.
  • Environmental Data Collection: Support the collection of soil, water, vegetation, and other field observations as required by project protocols.
  • GPS & Field Records: Record GPS locations, site observations, and other field metadata accurately using mobile apps or GPS devices.
  • Data Handling: Transfer, organize, and perform basic quality checks on data collected from field devices, including audio recordings.
  • Monitoring Cycles: Support the end-to-end field workflow from deployment and data collection through retrieval, data transfer, and redeployment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with ecology, GIS, and technology teams to ensure that field data is collected consistently and is suitable for further analysis.

What We're Looking For

  • Background or ongoing studies in Ecology, Wildlife Biology, Forestry, Environmental Science, Zoology, or a related field.
  • An interest in biodiversity, field ecology, bioacoustics, or environmental monitoring.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and travelling to project sites, including rural or remote locations.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to follow field protocols carefully.
  • Basic familiarity with GPS devices, mobile data-collection apps, or field surveys is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience with acoustic monitoring equipment or other field data-collection devices is an advantage, but training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently in the field while coordinating effectively with a team.

What You'll Gain

  • Practical experience in field ecology and biodiversity monitoring.
  • Exposure to bioacoustic and environmental monitoring technologies.
  • Experience working with real-world ecological datasets and field protocols.
  • An opportunity to work alongside teams involved in ecology, GIS, and environmental technology.

What Defines Our Culture

  • 10x Thinking, 10x Impact: Ambition grounded in execution.
  • Ownership Over Hierarchy: We build together, not alone.
  • Curiosity & Continuous Learning: Climate, code, and capital — we learn across disciplines.
  • Daily Improvement – A culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Bias Toward Action: Progress over perfection.
  • Kindness & Radical Transparency: We challenge directly and care deeply.
